The sky was beautiful as the sun dawned on the land. The grass covered with a soft dew and the strange sigh of seeing the moon as well, it happily coming about as the sun slowly began to set behind the rolling hills of Kanto. But as the sun fell, there was a small pup, whom was running all around to find a place to stay for the night.

He was a very VERY young child, and it was a wonder he was able to survive with barley any training by his parents, whom unfortunately...disappeared on a hunt for food.

He, quick on his feet, darted through every bush he could find, he keeping his body hidden, but also, he was nearing his target. A very small space, but large enough to have two bodies like his own in, a hollowed out tree.

So, he moved with a a little more prance in his step, this would be the first time in what felt like weeks he would have shelter from the night...for once he reached it, he quickly fell to his chest, he panting as he gasped for some air. His small body tired from hiding and running from much larger pokemon than himself.

A young Vulpix, younger then this Male was hiding her, unvisible to everyone who came near. It was female, her family was slaughtered by a Pack of Golducks. She watches the approaching Male curiously as she was already in the space when the Male entered

He gave a small sniff around, his nose soon giving a small warning that someone was actually VERY near. Much more close than he would have ever wanted to, but the smell was small, like his own.

He then slowly began to look about the tree....and his eyes soon fell to see a small plop of fuzz...he staring at it a bit blankly as he did not know that it was another Vulpix like himself at first...

She looks at him, face to face with this Male, she whimpers

He gave a small look to her, but at the sound of her he gave a small shiver. But he gave a small swallow to calm his nerves, he finally able to see that the thing watching was another vulpix like him.

<O-oh...Hi...>

He said with a soft sound...very shy as he looked to her.

<A-are you okay..?>

He said as he lightly tried to help calm her down...he saw that she was no threat to him...but he was unsure in how to speak. He had talked to another in some time.

"uh huh...." She said very shyly.... "Lonely... mom and daddy aren't moving anymore... they won't talk to me when I talk to them...." She says with a whimper

He hearing this made his shy heart almost die in an instant moment...his spirits and his mind so suddenly filled with darkness. He then moved to lay next to her...he knowing what has happened...But...would she understand if he told her?

<I..I am sorry...>

He said simply as he looked to her...

<H-How long have they been sleeping...?>

He said as his eyes began to glass with a very touching flare as he now began to feel his shyness ebb away...he needing to now as he looked to her broken heart..

"For... awhile now..... about.... 6 months...... I... miss them....." She says as tears fill her little Vulpine eyes

He feeling the pain she had made his mind remember how his parents never came back from the hunt...he to move out on his own. But he came out alright...didnt he? He was dead, and....well...he was doing all his parents told him too...

<O-oh...>

He said with a small look down to his and her paws with his ears lowered, he feeling the pain from that night all over again.

<I...I am sorry...>

He said as he lightly nuzzled her neck...he wanting to, not for her plight alone...but for also self comfort again. It was still extremely hard on him...even though more than a year had passed without fur or tail of them...

She whimpers as she begins sobbing as she keeps close to him.

He could not help but to feel the sudden bash of pure sadness and total shattering of his own bearing. Tears, beginning to form in his eyes, as he felt her body close to his, she making him cry, as he could remember how he cried the moment he found that he was never going to see them again...

So, he instinctively held her close, he shivering as he almost broke under the pressure.

She sniffled as she snuggles close, noticing his scent wasn't like hers. It was different, but intoxicating.

He was almost to the point of he breaking, but soon he began to feel...rather strange, something he had never felt before. Also, the scent around him sort of hit him as well, he growing a bit nervous as he felt her snuggle more into him.

<A-are you...ok?>

He said, lightly shivering now as he could smell that the scent was coming from her, and it was more and more...tantalizing...

He saw her face, and he actually did not know why she turned a little bit red, he actually moved closer to her face to get a better look.

<Are you sure? You look sick, your cheeks are red..>
