Gladiataur's Trials (Zearo & Bite)
« on: February 16, 2018, 05:21:42 am »
Ever since the grand black out the world was never the same, a huge emp blast knocked out most if not all electronics and tech leaving the world to resort back to the dark ages, it had been nearly 100 years since the grand blackout and things were much more stable almost like back in roman times and as such this new world did adopt some of their more horrific traits.

Slavery was nothing new in this world but some unlucky few were not only slaves but forced to fight for their freedom, they were sold on a fodder but to the public they were known as gladiators a whole row of new slaves were being brought down into the dungeon of the great fighting hall, most were pathetic looking and were not going to last long at all but there was atleast one who looked the part of a proper gladiator and this story will be following him in his trials of being a gladiator in this world.

Reid thought of this was a nightmare however despite his size he had never expected this happen. He held onto the bars of his cell as he could recall how he got into this. It wasn't that long ago that before he got caught. He was resting near a meadow and feeling relieved that he didn't have to worry about any electronic devices ruining his view of a tranquil scenery. He got up on all fours and looked at himself in the reflection. He stood a good ten feet with a nice shade of brown fur with black spots around his chest along with his black hair flowing along a gentle breeze. He had quite the figure with some muscle around his chest, shoulders and arms and a six pack abs. He only saw himself for a moment after he flexed as he saw large sack engulf him and he screamed before being dragged away from the beautiful meadow...

This was as far from a peaceful meadow as one could get, this was a hellish place for newbie's because they were all crammed up in a cell together, you needed to win atleast one fight to gain some freedom to move around freely in the dungeon after that each freedom unlocked new freedoms until you reach 100 where you are actually given proper freedom and allowed to leave this place, only a few have reached that mark and gained their freedom so it wasint impossible just very unlikely.

everybody in the cell with Reid was smaller then him by alot, they were all speices of creatures who couldnt even dream of growing to the scale of a taur and as such they all kept their distance away from him, a fight director came up to the cell and looked in "hm slim pickings in this shipment, dont think many of you will last beyond a single fight" this was when the director noticed the huge bulk of Reid "hm...perhaps we should have you fight them all atleast then they might stand a chance of beating you" he chuckled cruely.

Reid wasn't too sure with how he could get out of here. He was feeling very nervous with all of these folks around him. He thought this was just a nightmare and he'd be back near the meadow but he does hear the voice and looks at the man past the bar. He blinks a few times hearing that and he makes a nervous swallow before replying "W-What...?"

His chuckling ended as he looked at Raid "i was joking we cant have some actualy potential gladiator being beated down by this rabble, lets see here..." he looked around the cell and snapped his fingers drawing the attention of two bulky guards to come to his side "take the taur and that harpy boy there they will be the first of the newbie figths" Raid and the harpy were taken out of the cell together and taken to a large wooden door, they were completely stripped of their attire leaving them naked and a long chain was shackled between them, the door opened and the pair were pushed out into the fighting arena where a voice erupted out to instruct them on how this fight was going to go down " A battle of earth and sky a rare treat indeed, victory is simple for our newest gladiators, our flying must pull taur into the sky to win and as such our taur must pull our harpy to the ground, best of three with a small gap between for the winner of the round to inflict a winning blow to try and eleminate the other"

This was happening so fast for the horse as he was being taken to the wooden door and pushed though it. He blinks a few times as he saw the arena and was feeling very nervous about this whole battle but all he had to do was get the harpy down and land hit...? He takes a deep breath and tries to find away to knock the his aerial opponent to the ground but he didn't see how he could do that yet.

This was meant to be a more fair match up then one vs many but really it was only fair to the taur as the harpy flapped his wings in an attempt to lift the taur, the chain attatched to them rattled as this was meant to be what decided this whole fight who ever could pull the other to their level using the chain but really it was surely already over since the harpy couldnt so much as move the taur even with all his effort, the announcer shouted out "Oh seems we have a mismatch on our hands, we judged this harpy to have great flying strength but he is unable to muster up that strength to lift this taur" the announcer was lieing and just really rubbing it into the harpy just how hopeless this was, the harpy chirps out loudly "Shut up!" but the announcer just reponds to cover up any more such protests from the harpy body "seems we will need to muzzle him if he make it out of this fight but if our taur fighter plucks his wings then what use is he really Ha Ha! guess he could always amke a goos roast chicken!"

Reid blinks a few times as he sees the harpy trying to lift him up but he doesn't seem to get that he could use his strength and simply toss him to the ground however this horse was more of a pacifist and didn't want to harm anyone so what is he supposed to do now? He couldn't just be rough but in any way. He looked back his chains before he tried to reach to his feathered opponent.

All it would take for the taur to win was a hard yank on the chain which was attatched between them but it seemed that he wasnt even willing to do that incase it hurt the harpy boy, the harpy boy didnt share these feelings though as he wanted and needed to win to survive after hearing what might be done to him even if it was just announcer taunting him, he fluttered closer to the taur and grumbled "all i gotta do i get you off your feet, it doesnt need to be long just enough to be air born!" with a swift flutter of his wings her circled around the taur until he was on his flanks, then he flapped with all his strenght to build up speed and flew directly at the taur, he aimed to clup the back of all four of the taurs legs at the back of the knee and fly out from under his belly before taur feel, it seemed a good enough plan but he had regrets as he flew top speed towards the taur's flanks.

(hehe decide how this will work out for him ^///^)

Reid blinks a few times as he couldn't reach the harpy in time as he felt something odd beneath him. He over to see the harpy had a plan and was now executing it. He wasn't prepare at all and felt himself being pushed into the air despite the chains were holding him back for a moment with the force of speed the horse was tossed into the air and he lets out a loud scream as he was now airborne.

He was only airborne for a second as the clip to his knees caused them to buckle from under his body but he wasnt touching the ground so this counted as a round to the harpy, the announcer was actually shocked by this because that was a rather crafty way to get him off his feet without having to lift him since that would have been impossible "well thats a surprise so how will our feathered fighter inflict his free attack to cause a finishing blow!" the harpy could have been as cruel and brutal as he wanted to try and finish the taur even going as far as killing him to do so but instead he simply wrapped the long chain around each of the taurs limbs and pulled them tight aiming to simply restrain him, it wasnt really so tight that escape was impossible but if Reid didnt want to fight then this was a good way out of this "hm...just try to get up from that" the harpy said after dealing his free attack by binding the taurs legs but would it be enough to be considered a finishing blow?

Reid didn't know what had happened there but his mind comes around as he discovers that he is on the ground. He lets out a low grunt as he tried to break the chains that hold his legs together but he couldn't do it. His eyes widen greatly as he sees the chains are much stronger than he had thought as he continued to struggle with them.

The announcer called out as Reid continued to struggle and fail to get loose of his bindings "oh my we might very well have a surprising victory for the harpy, seems when earth vs sky it is the sky that wins out" the crowd started a count down as a way to indicate if the taur was actually finished but as the count down went on from 3-2 and finally 1 it didnt seem asthough Reid would break free, he had pretty much up until the announcer called out the victor of this fight but that was only a matter of seconds away so it wasnt like a burst of energy was going to free him suddenly was it?

If this were any other centaur they would muster up all of their strength and easily break the chains with their burst of energy but Reid wasn't one of them an he pants a few times as he seemed to tire himself out a bit and he began to sweat as he was starting to fear what would happen if he had lost in any way.

"seems we have an upset and out winner is our feathered fighter" the announcer called out which meant the fight was down, some guards came in and took off the chains from the harpy and taur releasing Reid from the bindings but as a loser, they were escorted out of the arena together but heard the announcer saying sorry to the crowd "sorry folks but you know newbie on newbie fights you dont get to see the prize claiming, perhaps next fight" Reid and the Harpy were taken out of the area nd pushed into a small room on the outside area of the dungeon "the mistress will be along shortly just wait here" one of the guards said to them before slamming the door and leaving the both of them confused and probably alittle worried about what was going on.
