IRC Rules

Below is the rules for the HPF IRC chatroom. Might be best to follow them, given they're there for a reason.


• The IRC chatroom is Adults only
This is an adult chatroom, and we cannot make any exceptions to this. If there is reasonable suspicion that you are not 18 years of age or older, we will need to bar you from the chatroom until you become 18 years of age.

• Do not disrupt Role Play
The chatroom has a focus on Roleplay. If there is a scene being played out, do not make inappropriate comments about the content or technical ability of the players. Do not drown out scenes with excessive OOC banter. (OOC Banter is fine if there is no scene of course) Finally, use private messages to make sure it is OK for you to become apart of a scene.

• Do not SPAM
Posting the same thing more then every 30 minutes is spamming. This is especially true of asking for roleplay.

• Please warn about links to extreme subjects
This is a simple courtesy. If you link to porn, add (nsfw) to it. If there’s a lot of non-sexual body fluids, distorted body features, or injury, add (guro) to it. If there’s depictions of /visably/ underaged critters, add (loli/shota) to it. If any body part is noticeably larger than usual, add (hyper). If it is noisy or has a jumpscare element, add (noise). THAT SAID, if a link has been tagged and you click it, you’ve only yourself to blame for the consequences of viewing it’s contents.

• Limit access from public locations
We are not responsible for the consequences of joining our chatroom or forums from a public place. Subjects or links to subjects which may get you FIRED or EXPELLED may occur, and these consequences will entirely be your fault.

• Illegal things are illegal.
It should not need to be written, but please do not discuss crimes and criminal acts. This includes (Even in jest) murder or revolution, and of course, iRL underaged things. We understand that what is a “crime” may be variable by location. We are more worried about protecting ourselves, and so this applies to what is illegal where our servers are hosted in the United States. You are of course, responsible for the consequences of illegal activities in your own local area.

• Respect our server’s Rules
Many rules, such as No Trolling, No Hacking, and No Harassment, are covered by our chatrooms Host, and can be found here:

It should be noted, that even the Staff of the Hungry Pokemon chatroom are bound by these rules, and they grant the users protection from staff abuse.
Do not hold the Staff, it’s services, or yourself Hostage.[/li][/list]

• Threatening to sue us, our host, or any persons, demanding any kind of compensation, benefit, or advantage in exchange for any stated requirement, Threatening to cause damage to said persons, Stating or alluding to campaign efforts against any of said persons, or Stating to or alluding to suicide, self-harm/mutilation, depression-induced pain, or other malicious acts of self while out of character cannot be tolerated.

We do not want anyone to be hurt while using our forums or chatrooms, and if you have TRUE thoughts of suicide, contact a friend or family member, or call your local police or call the National Suicide Hotline at (800) 273-8255. We are not at all trained to handle emergency situations, and to protect ourselves from liability, must immediately remove you from our services. I know that sounds a little cold and unfeeling, but the alternative is making sure all staff is certified in the handling of this nature of emergency.

• Use Common Sense! (Respect Staff.)

Rules will not cover each situation. You will be sufficiently warned if you are doing something the Staff finds irksome. If you’re warned, please listen! Debating is welcome, asking for more than one staff’s input is OK, but please be respectful in doing so. Simply disagreeing does not mean you can continue to do the thing of course.
